Education Forum 2025 - Thriving in Future Challenges with AI

Back
26 Apr 2025

To involve various stakeholders in shaping policies and strategies for the new AI era, the Foundation held the Education Forum 2025 at the HKUGA College Hall on 26th April. The event was highly successful, attracting over 130 participants, including Foundation members, IMC members, Principals, teachers and PTA members from both schools.

The Forum began with an AI-guided ABLE exercise, focusing on physical and mental wellness. This was followed by inspiring talks from Prof CHENG Kai Ming, Emeritus Professor and Honorary Director of the Education Policy Unit at HKU, and Prof. Paul CHEUNG, Honorary Professor in the School of Computing and Data Science at HKU.

Afterward, breakout groups were formed to brainstorm new initiatives centered around five key areas:

  • AI Ethics
  • AI for School Administration
  • AI for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
  • AI Policy
  • AI for Student Development

The discussions led to fruitful exchanges, and the Foundation would incorporate these valuable ideas in shaping the future development of the two schools.
